write by following requirements

I’m working on a Literature exercise and need support.

Now that you are familiar with the concepts in the first section of the course (Basic Musical Concepts), and you have seen how they work on different pieces of music, try your hand, mouse, and ears, at finding how they operate in a piece which is probably new to you.

To do this, I will ask you to listen to Manha De Carnival by Sigman and Bonfa, arguably one of the most popular Brazilian pieces. Write about the music and your response to it. Your response should be at least 500 words long. Please number your answers.

Manha De Carnaval

  1. How is UNITY created in this piece?
  2. How is VARIETY created in this piece?
  3. What instruments do you hear the performers playing?
  4. Outline the piece as you did in Assignment 1, giving timings for each section. How many musical ideas do you hear? Do you hear just one idea repeated or more than one musical idea?
  5. When you listen referentially, what associations do you have? What story or images come to mind?
  6. Of the three kinds of music discussed in Class 6, which kind is this? Why?

Important Hint

We highly recommend you type your answer using any word processor application. Please make sure you save your work as you go along. When you are done, CUT and PASTE your answer into the empty box. That way, if for any reason you loose your internet connection in the middle of typing your answer, you won’t lose all the work you have done up to that point.
