While assessing the progress that the team formed to relieve the stress that the USF students
encounter, it is essential to realize that some of the stress factors (such as relationships, financial
issues, and domestic troubles) are not entirely in its area of influence. The primary and most
urgent concerns for this team are, accordingly, those relating to it directly. In other words, the
two primary stress factors among those are grades and finding a job after graduation (or 60% of
all stress factors according to their impact, as shown in figure one of the final project on these
The progress so far has been gradually moving towards the active action, as the team felt the
need to identify all their actions and plans before proceeding with that stage. Still, identifying the
plans also involved other students’ active participation, as they helped assess the efficiency of
certain measures as compared to the other ones. Such a methodology of planning is also expected
to raise the general credibility of the project among the students that the team intends to help.
It is one of the key aspects of the progress made insofar. The measures selected and the
implementation planning that followed are the principal achievements. Within the identified
range of stress factors, the selected measures include creating an online center that the team
would manage, and that would help the USF students find consistent work after their graduation
(in advance), as well as during their final years of studying. Each student can register there and
form a request to receive the appropriate job offers later.
As for the money issues, a twofold scheme appears the best option to help the USF students not
only in their current situation but also while becoming more independent and responsible. The
team means to attempt to form an agreement with several final-year psychology students for
them to consult those in debt or lacking money and find an appropriate solution. Also, in the
cases of utmost emergency, the students need to be able to ask the members of the team for help
(for this, a reference page on Facebook needs to be created).
Draft Feasibility Report
The criteria to use in this situation are not numerous, yet each of them is essential to identify a
truly constructive solution among those developed. The criteria selected are as follows. Ease of
implementation is particularly essential for this project since the members of the team are also
students, and therefore, will need to combine their work on this project with their studies. The
cost of many solutions is minimal, and still, it is important to take it into consideration so that no
one’s interests suffer in the process. The very nature of the project suggests that the return on
investments will generally be mostly of moral nature. It makes it even more necessary to discuss
it with all the participants in advance. Last but not least, the increase in customer satisfaction is
the principal criterion of the success of this project as it is also its main goal.
Solution 1
Forming psychological support and consultation teams alongside the pages while leaving the
financial matters of students to themselves appears the most democratic solution in terms of cost,
as it nears zero in this case. However, this factor is also a significant drawback as it implies that
the return on investments will also be zero (as there is no guaranteeing that psychological
support alone will be enough to help the troubled students). Meanwhile, ease of implementation
for this project is not on the high level, as it requires significant time and effort contribution, as
well as emotional involvement. Thus, this solution is not appropriate for the given project.
Solution 2
Forming the team that would provide financial rather than psychological support, teaching
responsibility through a small percentage that a student will need to return from each loan. This
variant will require a significant initial investment, yet, when it is divided between all the
members of the team, it will not be difficult to make. Furthermore, customer satisfaction, as well
as the return on investments, will be likely to be higher than in the case of the previous solution.
Still, a low level of ease of implementation makes it questionable.
Solution 3
Forming a consultation as well as financial support team on a charitable basis, developing
different programs that the students will need to go through in order to ameliorate their state. The
cost of implementing this solution, as well as the return on investments, will be low yet not zero.
On the other hand, it is most likely to induce customer satisfaction. Although its ease of
implementation is still on the low level, insofar, this is the most rational solution to use in order
to relieve the stress that the USF students experience on a regular basis. It is also quite feasible to
fund this project by means of platforms like Kickstarter, which will also make it more affordable.

This unit asks students to write a feasibility report focused on one, local, real-world
problem. Students with research a problem and write a feasibility report that
describes the problem and describes possible solutions, then present their reports to
the class. Students work collaboratively on the report. The project requires
significant research and the creation of a formal report.

Topic Selection
Topics for the report project should come out of the Research Summary. Unless
students choose to change your topic, you can maintain the research topic from
Project 3.
The problems students will examine should be real issues on campus, in the
workplace, or in the community. The only stipulation to the topic is that the subject
should be related to the students’ major or discipline. The goal is to transfer student
knowledge and apply it to a situation occurring in the real world.
Even so, students will need to do additional research, as the research component of
the unit is significant.
Feasibility Report Project
In completing the Feasibility Report assignment, students will select a real, local
problem and complete the following activities:

Further research the problem, to include background, context, statistical
data, and qualitative data (i.e., interviews, etc.), as appropriate. Although
you already researched the problem in Project 3, there is additional research
that must be completed to fully describe the problem to your readers.
Develop explicit decision criteria (at least three) used to assess the
feasibility of potential solutions

Generate and research possible solutions (at least three) that significantly
improve, if not fix the problem. This research is different than Project 3,
because Project 3 was only about the problem, itself. Now you must also
research at least 3 solutions to compare.
Write a feasibility report that synthesizes their research with their decision
criteria to argue to what extend each solution is feasible according to the
decision criteria, and also discusses the strengths and weaknesses of each

NOTE: The report should include data visualizations, like graphs and charts, to
establish the scope of the problem and/or potential impacts of solutions. The most
original figures and visuals are those you create yourself based on your own
primary research. However, in workplace writing, sometimes the best option is to
use and cite a fitting visual that someone else has made. Each feasibility report
must include four visuals. I suggest placing one in the problem sections and one
for each of the solutions being examined. This is not a requirement, so you may
place the visuals wherever they fit in your report.
Working in teams, students will write a formal feasibility report about a specific,
real issue on campus, in the workplace, or in the local community. The report will
analyze the issue, present at least three possible actions/solutions that address the
situation and assess the feasibility of each solution using decision criteria relevant
to the problem and supported by research. Research is essential to both the analysis
of the situation and as support that the students’ decision criteria are applicable and
that their solutions are feasible. Additionally, solutions must be realistic.

reports answer questions such as:

What is the problem and what are the best approaches for solving it?
Is a particular course of action likely to succeed?
Do the benefits outweigh the risks?
What are the pros and cons?
What are the alternative courses of action?
Should anything be done at all?
Is the timing right for action?
The answers to these must be based on research.
A persuasive presentation is key to making a successful recommendation that
would result in action. Presentations can be given in the final week of the semester.
Student teams should create and present a final presentation that outlines their
report, including a description of the problem, decision criteria, and potential
solutions. The presentation format would follow the format of the written report
with rhetorical choices to edit content and facilitate maximum audience impact.
Slide design should be emphasized, and all team members should speak during the
Successful collaborative writing is a major objective of the project and should be
emphasized in class discussions. Students should be asked to consider their work
habits and the implications of those habits when working collaboratively.
Encourage students to leverage their strengths in the workflow and in assigning
duties–i.e., math skills, attention to detail, writing skills, visual design skills,
strong organizational skills. And also encourage students to build into their
workflow ways to negotiate work habits like procrastination or perfectionism to
ensure that all team members complete work on time and up to the teams’
specifications. The initial memo deliverable includes a Team Charter that should
be developed through exercises that ask students to be both critically reflexive and
honest with the team about their work habits, and to think through how the team
will work together. Collaborative skills are further developed through regular
Team Progress Reports. The efficacy of the team’s collaborative efforts is reflected
in the Individual Team Evaluations submitted at the end of the semester.
