A3: Submit a topic for Team Project

Each student in ENVS will need to locate and submit a potential topic for the class project by 9.5.2021.  You will do this using the discussion board linked here. Each submission must be unique-
you will need to review prior submissions to make sure that your topic does not duplicate another students
. Therefor, it is very much in your interest to locate and submit your topic as soon as possible.
Your topic should fall within the broad field of environmental science. Some broad categories are presented in the table below- but your actual submission should be targeted and specific.  At the same time, make sure that there is literature and research available for your topic.

Climate Change

Biodiversity Loss

Trophic Webs

Marine Conservation

Population Ecology

Human population growth

Resource use and the Tragedy of the commons

Feeding the population

Agriculture/Aquaculture

Forests and Rangelands

For your submission, start a new thread in the discussion forum linked here. The title of your thread should be a brief summary/statement of your topic. In your actual post, you should include 1) a short (1-2 sentence) summary of your topic, and 2) a link to an article, web page, or a reference that provides information about your topic.
I’ve posted an example in the discussion board- your post should look similar to this.

Finding a Topic
To find a topic, one of the best strategies is the visit the library and work with one of the resource people. They’re a talented and dedicated and love working with students. However, I’ll also provide a few links to synthesis websites that share interesting and relevant stories…
