The term public administration is essential in the society and it is understood to mean or to imply the overall implementation of all the government policies. On the same note, public administration is a discipline that is involves preparation of civil servants working in the civil service so as to enable them to implement government policies (Dobel, 1993).  In order for the activities of the civil servants to be effective then ethical obligations should be entrusted upon all the civil servants who are working in the any public entity. This implies that all the administrative professionals have a personal obligation to follow and to support the established code of ethics so as to avoid any penalty or punishment.

As a public administrator, some of the personal codes of ethics that I will follow include: I will have to make sure that I enhance and promote personal dignity, competence, status, and above all the standards pertaining my profession. Secondly, I will ensure that employment, promotion, and compensation will be done on the basis of individual performance, experience, ability, and knowledge on the field of specialization (Perry, 1993). These mentioned personal codes of ethics will guide me in all my duties as a public administrator.
