These should be in a single document divided into “summary” and “response”sections.
1. Summary part.
Write a 100-word summary (objective, complete, with mixture of quotations and
paraphrasing, with MLA style) of the assigned reading from textbook Jacobus, Lee A. A World of Ideas: Essential Readings for College Writers, 9th
Ed. New York: Bedford/St. Martin’s, 2013. I need summary of this part: Douglass, “From Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave” (327-341). So one more time I need summary of 327-341 pages.
2. Response part
Write a 250-word response answering to “Suggestions for Critical Reading” #4 (page 340).
Was it immoral for Douglass to learn to read and write even though he knew it was prohibited for him to do so?
You must write these documents as formal typed document with adequate development and support of your points. This should be a thoughtful, relevant response to the reading.
