1. In the first clip, a young preoperational child cannot solve liquid conservation, but the older concrete operational child in the second clip is able to. Using Piagetian terms, give two ways in which the second child (in the pink shirt) can reason differently than the first child.
2. In the clip where the child is solving the problem with the coins, she clearly understands amount (counting each coin). But, when the coins are spread, she appears unable to retain the amount. In your opinion, why does this occur?
3. In the last clip, with the cookies, the child is satisfied with a broken cookie. Using Piagetian terms, describe why she is satisfied.
