You’ll recall that for the SLP assignment for this course, we are conducting assessments of database programs and demonstrations available online. For this module, your task is to try any two of the the tutorials from RAD University Tutorials. These are described this way: The tutorials that can be reached from this page are student projects. They were prepared by students in courses taught at Tel Aviv University, Hadassah Academic College, and the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, by Dr. Debby Koren. RAD is proud of its cooperation with the universities in helping to prepare the future engineers and computer scientists for our industry. …The goals of these projects include familiarization of the students with applications of computer networking in the “real world” and demonstration that computer networks are great fun These are quite interesting, being student-generated and focused. They tend to be short, which is why we’re asking for two. Please pick tutorials in areas that you feel your knowledge to be weak in, not your areas of current strength. You can pick by selecting one of the general areas listed and then using the drop-down menu in the area to select a specific tutorial. As always, the more of the tutorials you can work through, the better; however, your grade is primarily dependent on how you approach the task and how much learning energy you put into it rather than specific output from the tutorial. Once you have completed your exploration of the tutorials, to finish the project for this module you are to prepare a 2-3 page report covering the following topics: what the tutorial teaches how good a job the tutorial does (include any of your personal experiences with it that might be relevant) who might find the tutorial useful any other aspect of the tutorial that you think a reader might find useful When your paper is done, send it in to CourseNet. SLP Assignment Expectations: Use information from the modular background readings as well as any good quality resources that you can find. Please cite all sources and provide a reference list at the end of your paper. LENGTH: 2-3 pages typed and double-spaced The following items will be assessed in particular: Your ability to apply your understanding as related to assessments of database programs Some in-text references to modular background readings (APA formatting not required)
