Help One Help All

| May 27, 2014

Many people in the world today are victims of different forms of violence. Terrorist attacks leave behind thousands of physically injured and emotionally scarred people. Cases of domestic violence have also been on the increase, resulting in children and spouses getting hurt. Incidences of rape have also escalated, both in the streets and at home. All of these affected individuals require intensive and extensive physical, spiritual and emotional therapy in order to recover from whatever form of violence they suffered (Young, 2003). As a victim’s advocate, I have a duty to ensure persons who suffer any form of violence receive the help they need to rebuild their lives. Help One Help All (HOHA), a victim assistance office, will be a place where victims of violence will be provided adequate medical, legal and psychological aid. The purpose of this paper is to present an organization where victims can go to receive victim assistance. I intend to identify the various components of such an organization: the sources of funding, the overall structure of the office, the agencies and entities of which we will interact with, and also the services that will be provided.
