ED 601 Concordia University Portland Next Step Plans Presentation Next Steps Plan

For your final assignment, you will create your next steps plan. Using PowerPoint or equivalent presentation software, you will describe how you intend to move forward with your research assignment in the next class. Please see the Example of Next Steps Assignment

(Concordia University – Portland, n.d.-f).

You will share this assignment with your instructor at the beginning of EDGR 696 or EDGR 698, to help them better understand your goals for the research work you are doing.

Your presentation should include the following:

Introduction
Provide an overview of the research area you have chosen to focus on for your capstone course.
Areas for exploration and next steps
In more detail, describe 2-3 big ideas you have already started to uncover because of your literature review. Describe your next steps as you consider what else you might need to read or learn to better understand your topic. What questions do you have about the areas that you still need to explore? What new ideas do you need to pursue that came up as you completed your literature review?
Provide a rationale for how you intend to find peer-reviewed primary research appropriate for your research question. Focus on how you plan to conduct a detailed literature search, including topics, search keywords, and the online libraries you intend to explore as you continue to refine and focus your work.
Conclusion
Provide a brief conclusion describing the overall plan.

Note: If you choose to create a PowerPoint presentation, reduce the file size by saving your final document as a PDF before submitting to Blackboard. For information on how to convert your PowerPoint and notes to a PDF, read Save PowerPoint Notes as PDF in the Concordia Knowledge Base.

Support your statements with evidence from the required studies and your research. Cite and reference your sources in APA style.
