Question 1-

You’ll find that PM can be used and MS Project in a variety of ways! In some cases, it may not be feasible to create a schedule before a project is started. Do you think a project schedule is a requirement before the project start? Why or why not?

Question 2-

PM has been around for a very long time, however businesses have recently started to use this approach to project initiatives to increase production. Krill (2013) identifies one of the culprits to failure as the culture. Change…something people don’t adapt to well. Krill (2013) states:

Barriers to further agile adoption include an inability to change an organization’s culture, followed by general resistance to change and trying to fit agile into a non-agile framework. The biggest concerns about agile include lack of upfront planning, loss of management control, and management opposition.

Based on this statement, how do you think an organization would move from traditional project management to APM?

What might a project manager do to influence the need or decision for executives to buy-in to the change?

Once executives accepted the idea of moving to APM, how does the PM get the teams on board?

Put on your thinking cap in introducing change….what would you do?
