Paragraph #1 (10-15 sentences) Summarize the main ideas. Give specific examples. What conclusions did the speaker make? Use your own words. No quotes ore bullet points.
Paragraph #2: (10-15 sentences) Critique the article. What was your reaction to the ideas? Do not give additional summary, instead give your analysis and opinion of what you already presented in the summary. Evaluate the ideas. In your opinion, what were the best ideas or weak points? Explain your reasoning. Were there any relevant points the author neglected to mention? Why did you select this topic? Discuss how the ideas relate to you or your experiences. Give an example. Make sure you include first person comments: “I selected this topic because… I think the best idea is…because. “I think the weak point was…” These ideas relate to me because… I think these ideas are useful to me because….” etc. We want to hear your opinion.
