The B.A.T.A.M. is an ethnographic film produced in 2005 by a Swedish anthropologist, Johan Lindquist. The film follows stories of two Indonesian female migrants-one a factory worker, the other a prostitute-on the Indonesian island of Batam. Watch the film and critique the film by responding to the question below: 1) the film claims itself as an "ethnographic" film. Discuss what makes it "ethnographic," as opposed to "non-fiction"
